April is Stress Awareness this month, and NAMI-NYS will be sharing information on stress and strategies for coping including hosting activities to help our communities manage stress.

Everyone experiences stress. Sometimes it can help you focus and get the task at hand done. But when stress is frequent and intense, it can strain your body and make it impossible to function. Learning to cope with our stress and finding healthy ways to deal with these situations can go a long way toward living a mentally healthy and positive life.
